Early next year, we'll be releasing our e-commerce solution for Laravel: ArchTech Ecommerce. It will be released as two separate packages:
The core of the e-commerce solution will be our free and open-source package. The package will serve as a set of unopinionated yet ready-to-use abstractions for building e-commerce applications in Laravel.
E-commerce is notoriously complex due to all of the requirements involved. The applications need to be feature-rich, both for the customers and the store admins. And the underlying implementation needs to have bulletproof data integrity, since financial data is being handled.
Our package takes care of the low-level complexity and lets you write your actual application. Rather than dealing with what "create order" means, you just tell the package to create an order when the user clicks a button on the checkout page.
The features include:
Aside from the open-source package, we'll also have a premium package that serves as an e-commerce admin panel template for Lean Admin.
This package will essentially be a wrapper around the open-source core, providing a web interface that admins can use to manage their store.
As we explain in the Lean Admin waiting list onboarding email, our goal with the Lean ecosystem is to provide packages that serve as full-stack building blocks for Laravel applications.
The #1 focus of these packages is eliminating the out-of-the-box features/customizability trade-off.
Before Lean, it was almost impossible to do this. If you installed an e-commerce template, combining the admin dashboard with another template (e.g. invoicing, blog, live chat) wouldn't work.
But with how Lean is designed, you can simply install multiple packages and put them together into a functioning web application, with all of them being fully customizable.
Some of the packages that we have planned include:
We hope to launch these two packages shortly after launching Lean Admin. If you'd like to join the waiting list to get early access to the packages and a launch discount for the admin panel package, you do so here:
